In the 1970s Eco scientists were telling us that we were entering another ice age. And the media were parroting it then as they are everything else now.
In 1974, UPI reported the earth's ozone layer was disappearing, presenting "great peril to life." Instead it increased in size.
In 1978, The New York Times claimed there was "no end in sight" to the 30-year cooling trend. Although a warming trend began in 1979.
In 1980 we had the acid rain scare. Ten years later a study found acid rain wasn't an environmental crisis after all.
In 1988 the Lansing State Journal was warning Washington, D.C. to "prepare for long, hot summers." But the number of hot days has been declining ever since.
NY Times predicted Maldives, an island in the Indian Ocean, would be completely underwater in 30 years, never happened.
1989 UN officials predicted "entire nations could be wiped off the face of the earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000." Again, never happened.
In 2000 Dr. David Viner, a senior research scientist stated snowfall will become a "very rare and exciting event." Sure thing Dave.
In 2001 James Hansen, the climate cult's top guru, predicted that New York's West Side Highway would be underwater by 2019, never happened
Now that is just naming a few, I could go on and on and on. So here we are in 2019 and once again Democrats and their friends are telling us the end of the world is near. I’m sorry but you have cried wolf for so long and so many times only to be proven wrong. If you really believe that I suggest you pack your stuff and head to the nearest spaceship. As for the rest of us, just leave us alone and let us live our lives.
